MaKenzie Was funny, had emotion, flowed like a real life story. Kept my attention. Great overall castings and acting. Will definitely be seeing it again! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/03/24 Full Review Brian P Moving story of a young girl coming off age in a way not like others. Maybe it's better to have emotional growth before physical maturity. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/02/24 Full Review dave d Molly McGlynn's semi-autobiographical narrative feature tries really hard, but misses the mark on multiple levels. First there are two major health issues and one is focused and the other glossed over and it just didn't work for me. McGlynn's disdain for most of those surrounding her isn't unusual for a high school student, but casting someone of legal drinking age to play 17 took me out of the film. Also the haphazard nature of how athletics is brought in. Yes, you can go from never running to a college scholarship, but not quite the way it's described here. Big ole swing and a miss! Wasted chance and such a shame! Final Score: 5/10 Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/15/24 Full Review Scott Great movie didn't know it existed Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/15/24 Full Review Dennis M Powerful, riveting, and frightening. A polarizing masterpiece of a film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/15/24 Full Review Rebecca W I haven't seen this yet as I live in the UK but I'm giving it 5 stars as I have MRKH which the movie is about so I want to support the community I can't wait to see it. Radheyan Simonpillai CTV's Your Morning Warm, generous and vulnerable. Feb 7, 2024 Full Review Drew Gregory Autostraddle Fitting In is explicitly a celebration of our different bodies and the disconnect of certain biological markers from gender. Feb 5, 2024 Full Review Natalia Winkelman New York Times Its revelations about gender, sexuality and identity tend toward the obvious, and sometimes veer into the facile. Feb 1, 2024 Full Review Carla Hay Culture Mix The narrative of Fitting In occasionally wanders, but this comedy/drama has convincing performances in this coming-of-age story of a 16-year-old girl with a rare gynecological condition. It's a unique movie with familiar views of teenage life. Feb 24, 2024 Full Review Julio Fernando Navas Cinema Ecuador A genuine portrait on sexual repression and body dysmorphia.
