A free man after years in prison, Carlito Brigante intends to give up his criminal ways, but it's not long before the ex-con is sucked back into the New York City underworld. Reconnecting with his dancer girlfriend, Gail, Carlito gets entangled in the shady dealings of his friend Dave Kleinfeld, who also serves as his lawyer. When Carlito and Kleinfeld run afoul of shifty gangster Benny Blanco, it sets them on a dangerous path.

All Time Classic and the last truly great film from DePalma. It reads almost like a gangster novel it's so well done. The way it weaves between Penn & Pacino without really ever losing focus and mianly staying on Pacino is first rate. Excellent direction, and just first rate execution across the board. The narration is just the right amount, Pacino is amazing here and has really good chemistry with Miller. You can slowly feel the vice start to get tighter and tighter the longer it goes. The final chase with no words for like 10 minutes is masterful as well. Everyone should give this a try once.

Filme bacana, o roteiro é bacaninha, as cenas são bacanas, a história é bacaninha, o elenco é bacana, e metade do elenco ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são bacanas, e eu gostei do plot twist no final do filme, com tudo isso, eu recomendo esse filme.
