Gail Pennington St. Louis Post-Dispatch Dolly Parton's Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love is ultimately as sweet as the Whitman's Sampler the Parton kids get to dive into. Rated: 2.5/4 Nov 30, 2016 Full Review Robert Bianco USA Today It isn't very good, and it isn't nearly as good as Parton deserves. Rated: 2/4 Nov 29, 2016 Full Review Hank Stuever Washington Post These numerous, disorganized plot points attempt to make up for the flimsy dialogue and hammy acting - flaws that weren't nearly so evident in last year's movie. Nov 29, 2016 Full Review Emily Ashby Common Sense Media This inspirational blending of two stories from Parton's childhood is just the thing to get you in the holiday spirit, but the life-and-death realities deserve consideration for sensitive viewers. Rated: 4/5 Dec 2, 2016 Full Review Ken Tucker Yahoo! TV What pulls it all together is what pulls together everything Dolly Parton touches: heartfelt emotion, un-ironic portrayals of modest sincerity (Nettles and Schroder are particularly effective), and a gift for turning treacle into musical gold. Audience Member Very touching and the fact that this movie has many parts that truly actually happened makes it even better. I saw a video of Dolly talking about how the movie brought back memories. Dolly Parton's Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love https://g.co/kgs/FhJuwJ Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Cute, but I didn’t like it as well as the first one. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/10/19 Full Review Audience Member The Parton family's Christmas preparation! A follow-up to Dolly Parton's 'Coat of Many Colours'. This time it is a Christmas theme. As usual the tale was told from young Dolly's view. The Parton family is readying for the festival. The list is long what everybody wants for Christmas. But time to sacrifice for something more important for family than individuals. Everybody contributes, yet does not meet the requirement. So the extra adventure begins, on one end the father takes a risky job far away from home and Dolly decides to sing on the streets. The remaining story is to tell how it all ends. I saw it when the Christmas is just 30 days away. A perfect season to watch such film. But it was an okay film. Being a Christian film, the previous one did not bother me. But this one went out of the control, like it became a fantasy. Yeah, the end was un-believable for a film based on the real. I always like to see on the screen how a family struggles against the odds, but being reality is most matters. It just slipped away in a few occasions, including at the end twist. Still a nice film for families. All the cast had returned and they all were good. Directed by the same filmmaker. One time watchable film. 6/10 Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Kay W Great Christmas story. Warm, fun. Please make more. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/13/17 Full Review Audience Member Lovely Christmas story. There were several tongue in cheek moments with Dolly herself portraying the "painted lady" Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Lovely Christmas story.
