Lily T funny at some points, but as a lesbian, this movie is genuinely very cringe. it's only sometimes relatable but after watching this movie TWICE (one time alone, one with friends just now) I can say that I don't like this movie Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 07/27/23 Full Review Dani M Joyful and funny and sweet queer coming of age movie. I laughed out loud and cried. Thank you Julianna Notten and team for making the kind of movie I needed when I was 13. Young queer people being able to see this kind of representation is so important. I'm excited to see what comes next from this amazing young film maker. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Emma B The sweetest film and something I wish had been made years ago. I can't wait to share it with all of my friends and the queer kids in my life! It is also just beautifully shot with performances that feel so lived-in. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Charlie L A cute queer coming of age film, recommended for fans of Booksmart and Good Boys. A charming and sweet movie, with excellent cinematography and a soundtrack that slaps. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Extremely poignant and well done. I’ve been waiting for a film like this since I was Erin’s age. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Laila S Skillfully directed. I was taken by how the director was able to take what would typically be awkward, embarrassing and tense moments and normalize them with tenderness. There are many strong messages in this film that cannot go unmentioned. Attributes of compassion, courage, humour, self-control, patience, imagination, humility, empathy and love enriched this film. Notten was able to thread all these qualities masterfully in her film. Kudos to Julianna Notten, the cast and the crew. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Heather Hogan Autostraddle The best part about Erin’s Guide to Kissing Girls is that you can enjoy the familiar beats, but just when you think the story is going to zig, it zags! Feb 10, 2023 Full Review Randy Myers San Jose Mercury News While the seams of a shoestring budget show, you won’t mind since there’s so much heart and tenderness on display. Rated: 3/4 Oct 5, 2022 Full Review Heidy Morales Hye's Musings Julianna Notten has created a film that will have a positive impact for the young people it portrays and the people they love. It is evident that when queer people tell their own stories on screen, everyone stands to benefit. Rated: 3.5/5 Feb 28, 2023 Full Review Chris Knight National Post Simple, straightforward and unapologetically fun. Rated: 4/5 Feb 3, 2023 Full Review Jason Flatt But Why Tho? A Geek Community While Erin’s Guide to Kissing Girls’ central lesson is a bit overlearned, its incidentals are great and its last-minute final message is excellent. Rated: 7/10 Feb 3, 2023 Full Review Anne Brodie What She Said refreshingly honest a kids struggling to find their way but buoyed by inner strength and a positive outlook. Women will appreciate the message of self-worth and also glimpse inside middle school and all its nostalgic, universal trials and triumphs. Rated: 3/4 Feb 3, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews
