Lily W It’s my all time favorite movie it was amazing. Cameron Bancroft was believable as her brother, and so was mark Paul gosseluar. I love the family’s dynamic and how her brother care for her. This is the best movie on anorexia nerviosa and all their reactions were believable. Tom (Dad)- When he got angry with her eating only lettuce after she said she was gonna fix herself a snack, so her yells at her, and throws the lettuce bowl across the room and says “you’re lying you never have nothing of nothing, lettuce is nothing, look at you, you’re wasting away a bag of bones.” Sally (Mom)- When she grabs both of nancys wrist after Nancy is rearranging the kitchen due to her OCD and her mom says “Why are you doing this what does it mean?!?.” Patrick (first born and oldest brother)- when he takes her to the shopping mall to buy her a piece of her favorite key lime pie and this is an excerpt of their conversation mind you he already persisted plenty more that she take a bite prior “c’mon Nancy it’s all about will power, you can turn it either way you control your mind.” Nancy says “I don’t control anything anymore, especially not my brain.” “Well you better get a grip on it because you’re driving everyone insane!”. Toms (second born and other older brother)- When he gets annnoyed with her as she overreacts and throws her spoon on the floor, after an altercation caused when made him Mac and cheese. Tracy gold was very good in this and was beilivable in her subtle manipulation. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/07/24 Full Review Audience Member 4.5 only because its an older movie, but love Tracey! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Although slightly cliched, this movie does have its strong points, and can be interesting to a patient audience. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member A tawdry tale of anorexia starring ex-anorexic Tracey Gold. While this is certainly an interesting movie, it suffers from insane and unexplained gaps in its timeline. One scene will end abruptly, and the next will take place weeks later, with no bridging in between. This happens at least a dozen times throughout the film. While this movie has nothing new to offer, Tracey Gold holds things together with her excellent portrayal of a role she was literally (and no disrespect intended) born to play. You could tell she was digging up emtions from her own health ordeal to use in her performance, and the result is a powerful and honest portrayal of a person who has let anorexia take over every aspect of their life. All of the other characters are overacted with an extremely heavy hand, almost to the point of nausea (but what is up with the unspoken sexual tension between Nancy and her brother, played by Mark-Paul Gossellar?).The outcome is predictable and the atmosphere never rises above that of a mid-90s made-for-TV drama. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member Had to watch this movie in my health class. lol. It is quite sad... Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member i think this is a very sad movie because i can relate to nancy because i was anorexic and my mom and my sister helped me save my life i couldn't have done it without them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
