I honestly believed that it was going to be a good movie to watch because it was a horror/comedy movie and on top of that it was filmed in 2023. However, I personally did not really enjoy watching this film. Throughout the movie when things are being moved like the girl supposedly moving it with power you can see an invisible line rope moving the object for them. Even though there were some flaws in the film I did like the acting in the film. You can see their acting was actually pretty good in the film. You can hear and see the emotions they are feeling when they're feeling angry or sad in the film. Also, the film had a good story line that I liked. But overall, I wouldn’t really suggest any of my friends to watch this movie.

Nothing on earth could have prepared me for the movie that is Hanky Panky. Horror is not the genre I thought it would have been a part of, however I was very pleasantly surprised to find out that was the direction it was heading towards. Talking inanimate objects, gory fake blood, and strange characters that just jump out at you is just the surface of what this movie has to offer. If you are looking for a colorful film who's plot gives you whiplash, this is the film for you. An evil hat that is trying to take over the world and a handkerchief that likes cleaning up human messes battle to the death as the true Kryptonite is the idea of soul mates. As two people fall in love that is when true evil is defeated. (I said a plot that gives you whiplash) This movie takes you out of everyday boring life and transports you to a horror film that helps us rediscover the true meaning of love all while causing you to end the movie far more confused than when you started. Great Watch.

If you're looking for a film to laugh at but also freak out about, I wholeheartedly recommend you watch this film! It's sometimes a bit much, but when is a horror comedy not? I definitely think you should watch this film if you're looking for something different. The writing is something new to me, and for some reason, I dig it! The puppet with the napkin is immaculate, and although it's obvious that. I do think Woody's character is very odd, but so odd that it's fascinating, that's why he's my favorite. He obviously isn't the only one in the movie who is odd; most of the characters are abnormal and even weirder if that's even a word. I also really liked Diane's character; somehow, she is the most normal character. Just be prepared for something very unexpected. Since I don't find horror movies enjoyable at times because it does get too much, the comedy moments make it very enjoyable to watch at times, but also the horror aspect isn't very filled with scary, so it doesn't really affect the movie watching. My favorite scene is definitely the ending because it's so obvious with the string that it genuinely made me laugh, and made it enjoyable as well. These past few months, I watched every weird movie, especially ones that have a heavy sexual theme throughout them, and this has to be one of those films. The acting was somehow natural even though there were times were the acting wasn't the best. All in all, an animate object being in control of many objects in a certain way is not new, but it still piques my interest every time.

This was to be honest a very fun and hilarious B movie. I really loved the acting because although it was cheesy it resonates perfectly with the film. My favorite character was Nick Roth's because I found him funny even though killed off in the narrative was not bad. Of course, my favorite aspect of this film is Harry the Hat which was great to be honest. Every scene with Seth Green's character was cool and moving into the special effects side I found a lot of it was practical. I personally sometimes prefer practical effects over visual effects. This movie does a nice blend of it. Of course, the story itself felt chaotic at times in both a good and bad way. However, in the end I did get a good laugh out of it. It's one of those movies that I would personally watch one and never watch again.

This film was a little bit more my speed. I am not a horror fan IN THE SLIGHTEST, but to be completely candid, I don't mind a murder mystery, especially a comedic one. In this case, this film hit ALL the right buttons for me, and I did actually sort of enjoy this film. The fact that Michael finds himself in an unknown city just trying to get some work done and mind his own business, and then...WHAM! A few minutes later he is now suspected of murder?? Wow! So many twists and turns, and quite honestly, although I do enjoy a good movie that is kind of predictable, this one had me guessing for AWHILE, and I never knew what was going to happen next. Well done by the writers on this film. And also, hats off to the DP.

Hank Panky is a light, fun movie that embraces the silly, not taking itself too seriously, which is what I loved about it. It’s goofy, light-hearted, and moves along at a quick pace, so it was easy to watch, and you can just go with it. The story follows a hard-luck private detective and a mysterious woman who keeps luring him into one messy situation after another. Overall, it is not an earth-shattering film, but the chemistry is good enough in-between the leads, and I was laughing out-loud at the clever writing. If you are looking for low-key and fun, I would consider Hank Panky a viable option. It’s ideal for a low-key movie night to watch a light comedy with plenty of laughs, but it doesn’t weigh you down!
