Grace Williams Battle Royale With Cheese Although this film is not quite Garth Marenghi's Dark Place, or Dracula, Dead and Loving It, it certainly has a certain charm and an A* for effort. I'd very much like to see what this director can create on a larger budget. Sep 5, 2019 Full Review Grant Watson Fiction Machine Probably not quite accomplished enough to gain a cult status, Here Comes Hell is still a pretty great low-budget blend of comedy, horror, and period drama Rated: 7/10 Jun 10, 2019 Full Review Garry McConnachie Daily Record (UK) It's a loving homage to films gone by without ever feeling like a cheap and tacky parody. It wears its heart on its sleeve and makes for a wonderful celebration of the best of genre film-making. Mar 14, 2019 Full Review Anton Bitel SciFiNow clash of different horror modes & eras engenders an irony that is often funny & increasingly strange, as Here Comes Hell brings about its own deconstruction, literally collapsing on the ancient foundations that support its knowingly flimsy premise Mar 7, 2019 Full Review Jennie Kermode Eye for Film Horror fans will find plenty to entertain them whilst others will reflect that there's really nothing more horrid than having one's weekend away spoiled by the presence of the wrong sort of people. Thom G A successful throwback film with a great atmosphere, characters, and entertaining horror. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/19/24 Full Review Jim A Truly dreadful. Production similar to a school production with staged sets and models that were all too obvious. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Shot in black and white in a pastiche to old hammer style horror movies with a bit of modern gore for good measure. Original and worth a watch Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member HERE COMES HELL is in that, kind of, slapstick of horror, where it's not entirely a comedy but it isn't afraid to really exaggerate everything and produce an exploding head or two. There's different types of melodrama, both between the characters and the ghosts and such in the movie. We can also both like and loathe the characters. When they're around, they're entertaining and propel the story forward and when their dead, we don't feel too bad about it. And then when they come back, they propel the story ever more forward. This isn't special in the way a Sam Raimi horror movie is, neither is it like Cabin In The Woods. It's entertaining and worth a watch. Or two, to pick up on some of the nuance. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member I don't want to ruin anything but if you like laughing at a movie that's funnier than it deserves to be you have to see this one. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Couldn't quite decide whether this was good or bad, deliberately cheesy or bad acting, a poor or good pastiche. But when I found out the budget was a supposed 20 grand, you have to admire them... Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/21/21 Full Review Read all reviews
