HIT 2 is quick, engaging, and a well-directed thriller. It works as a standalone film, and Sailesh Kolanu did a fabulous job creating excitement for the next part and building up the overall universe. Go to Full Review

It's a winning example of a sequel that's better than the original movie. The story's mystery is wider in scope and told in a more compelling way than in HIT: The First Case. It's a great idea to make each HIT movie with a different detective protagonist. Go to Full Review

It just doesn’t seem to do anything to take you by surprise. What it does do however is make you want to watch the next installment. And maybe, that’s a win. Go to Full Review

Dhanu K 04/09/2024 While HIT: The 2nd Case delivers a more compelling story than its predecessor, its investigation scenes could benefit from a livelier approach. Despite being a solid thriller, it leaves the audience yearning for another sequel. See more Suprateek A @suprateek 09/01/2023 Finally watched HIT 2 starring Adivi Sesh, I had a lot of expectations with this flick after watching the trailer of this film. Did it reach my expectations? Let's find out. Let me get the negatives out of the way first. So first of all that love story, man when will tollywood change! These love stories feel so forced now a days, I understand that the love story served a greater purpose in the later half of the film, but the scenes just acted as a bump in the ride for me and could've been handled in a more subtle way. Moving on to the first half, it felt more like a love story and less like a thriller, I was shocked when the intermission card came on the screen because it felt abrupt and I felt like I watched nothing till that moment. Unfortunately HIT 2 suffers the same problem in terms of reveal same as the first instalment, the reveal felt really underwhelming. I didn't see it coming but there was no shock factor nor was there a sense of satisfaction that one gets while watching a whodunit. But one difference is that the performance of this actor was pretty amazing. Coming to the positives, THE GORE , man never in my life did i think that a tollywood film would have so much gore because a serial killer flick without gore is like biryani without salt, if you know what I mean. The film is absolutely brutal and the the director deserves an applause for not compromising in terms of the violence. Especially the last 30 minutes were pretty great in terms on the violence. Another thing that I liked was the problem it was trying to highlight, which in my opinion is quite relevant to the current time period. The director- Sailesh Kolanu-did a great job in not making the film sound too preachy and has done it in a very subtle manner. Now on to some minor details. There is a mirror scene in the film which was quite reminiscent of Mani Ratnam's mirror shots, and that subtle homage was quite beautiful. The dog Max will definitely steal your heart. There are some questions from HIT 1 that were answered in this film, and they were quite satisfactory. Finally the actor for HIT 3 was revealed in the end and the theatre erupted with his entrance, and it is a sequel I'm looking forward to, I hope the twists are written in a better way for that instalment. Finally I would say that HIT 2 is a partially refreshing film, which has it's own moments, but certain cliches stop it from becoming a great whodunit. See more Read all reviews
