Audience Member Yllättävän hyvä, pidin tästä enemmän kuin kirjasta. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Dome Karukosken kuvaus poikakodista, jossa nuori poika yrittää selvitä. Visuaalisesti kuviin selkeästi on panostettu ja näyttelyssä kaivattua rentoutta, joka usein puuttuu Suomifilmeistä. Kaiken kaikkiaan positiivinen yllätys. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member A grim story of a young, troubled boy who gets sent to a fosterhome on a desolate island. Whilst there he's haunted by nightmares from his past and has to deal with his emotions. The movie is based on the novel by Leena Lander and directed by one of the most promising Finnish directors Dome Karukoski. Also the casting is great. A highly emotional movie. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member After having randomly met the director this week I finally decided to watch the film away. A tragic story with many fine actors, among them my all time favourite Tommi Korpela. Beautiful scenery but something was missing, somehow I wanted more, not sure more of what. The music stuck to my head, kind of magically and afterwards I was left thinking of the many kids who actually have lived and still live in similar circumstances. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Great to find such a fantastic Finnish film... Niilo Syvaoja has an amazingly expressive face that speaks louder than 1000 words. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Todella positiivinen yllätys. Leena Landerin Finlandia palkittuun romaaniin perustuva elokuva on paras kotimainen vuosiin. Se on draama joka kasvaa trillerin mittasuhteisiin. Poikakotiin saapuu uusi poika Juhani jolla on traaginen menneisyys. Takaumittain kerrottu tarina aukeaa hitaasti ja pitää tiukasti otteessaan. Vakuuttavasti näytelty kautta linjan. Myös nuoret ovat osissaan hyviä. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Read all reviews
