12/24/2012 Cute but very muddled See more 08/14/2012 These Mabel Normand films aren't the best, but I was pleased to see a more humourous, less violent Little Tramp in this one, and the fact that Chaplin directed it may have been a factor in it being of a better quality to some of the others. See more 09/27/2009 This is one of the funnier of Charlie's 1914 shorts, with Charlie making the most of a fight with a mannequin in the last half of the film. The slow build to the fight was extremely well-done, and surprising, as these films usually aren't much on using anticipation to build excitement. See more Read all reviews
