09/12/2017 Pretty strange movie, big fan of the actors in this, and the car sequences are top notch. The people I saw it with felt duped because they thought it was a car movie. I like the way Melbourne looks pretty bleak in Geofry Wright films and the soundtracks pretty decent too ,Nick Barker I think. See more 04/16/2010 If you like twisted dystopian movies - that is IT. Pure profit. Acting is perfect. It's a love drama, but not the one you will watch with a date. Very dark and gloomy with no happy end. From the guy who directed Romper Stomper. See more 07/17/2009 i slightly interested See more 11/19/2008 fantastic and flawed - typical Wright - ahead of his time and very unAustralian (thank fuck!). if you can survive the length and stupidity, it can be a great film - King Arthur in a street machine. Young kick arse, Garner is good, Morice and Mendolsohn are fucking irritating - cut 20mins of them out of this film and it would not have killed Wright's career See more 08/04/2008 So overwrought and unrelievedly grim that it comes close to playing like a parody of teenage angst movies. Its purposeful lack of appeal on virtually all aesthetic levels makes it a bit unwatchable at times, which, since that's the point, puts it somewhere between a masterpiece and complete mess.
