After being offered a teaching job in India, successful designer Julie (Miou-Miou) must first re-enroll in school to earn her high school diploma, a prerequisite for the position. This coincides with the end of her relationship with the flawed Felix (Maxime Leroux), leading her to get drunkenly lost in the Paris subway system. Luckily, retired trumpeter Léo (Yves Robert) comes to her aid, and the two strike up a friendship when she discovers that he also happens to be in her diploma class.
