The earlier, fairly crummy picture now seems like FW Murnau's Sunrise when set beside the blitzkrieg of awfulness that is Nativity 2: Danger in the Manger! Go to Full Review

Slack and savvy in equal measure, and a guaranteed hit. Go to Full Review

Silly, goofy and pretty groanworthy. But it is unpretentious and is, after all, aimed at very young children. Go to Full Review

Adorable misfits on zany Xmas adventure; some potty humor. Go to Full Review

It might actually be funnier if you haven't seen the first film, but I'm not in a position to say--only that it's disappointingly similar to the original, and suffers from the comparison. Go to Full Review

After 2009's inane comedy Nativity, no one was clamouring for a sequel, but at least this one tips the scales into sublime silliness. Go to Full Review

John K @UndeadKingUK Nov 26 A complete mess and one of the worst Christmas movies I have ever seen. First of all, Nativity doesn't need to be a franchise because of how good the original was as a standalone film. Second, everything that's wrong with the film is the reason why its so bad. The dialogue felt clunky, the story felt generic and David Tennant's character felt like it was written for Martin Freeman, but was changed at the last minute. If you look into the production of the film, it was quite literrally rushed because all box-office results made from the film would be donated to Children in Need and they literally didn't have a completed script for the film, most of it was improvised. This goes to show how rushing the film without a completed script is a big problem because it would make the film unfinished. See more Shaun R @Shaun666 Nov 3 Decent film that’s kids seem to enjoy. It does seem to go on for hours, but it’s all lighthearted family fun. See more Kelly M Aug 13 Great because Mr. Poppy is back but this time him and the kids go on a big adventure to Wales to A Song For Christmas Competition but the last teacher Mr. Maddens has left to America so the school hires a new teacher called Donald Peterson and he has this crazy brother called Roderick Peterson who runs this quire with all boys and Mr. Poppy rides this big yellow bus that can swim and Donald’s dad is very mean to him because he likes Roderick more because he has a better job and he doesn’t like his job my favourite songs are Yes We Can, Born in the Hay, Hawaii in my heart, Peace and Joy, Snow Angel, Counting Down for Christmas, a Dickens Christmas, Spirit of the trees, Elving Christmas and Christmas Fairies great movie 10/10 See more Sean M 11/28/2024 Absolute pinnacle of cinema. I would do anything to witness any of David tenants movies for the first time again. See more 12/11/2021 Absolute drivel. Unbelievable scenarios played for cheap laughs topped off with a truly appalling Eurovision style collection of unlikely styled so called songs. See more r 9 12/11/2020 A step down, even if it isn't anything all that bad to be honest. 'Nativity 2: Danger in the Manger!' is actually, only a tad, more serious than the first film, though it still features all the shenanigans that you'd expect from it. David Tennant is an upgrade on Martin Freeman, as is Joanna Page on Ashley Jensen. Marc Wootton is basically the same, as are Jason Watkins and Pam Ferris. This one doesn't have as much charm as the original, not helped by the majority of it feeling like a copy. Sure, some things are changed but it's practically the same story - except for that fact that there is no actual Nativity play involved, so there's that. I still didn't dislike it though, it serves its purpose I guess. See more Read all reviews
