Audience Member Eh, I think this is one of Aardman's weaker and more forgettable shorts with more stilted animation and weaker writing (this being released before their work on the music video for Peter Gabriel's "Sledgehammer" and Wallace & Gromit put their names on the map and turned them into one of the most critically acclaimed animation studios of all time) but it's nice that they made something more adult-oriented, it still has some British charm to it and the style of dialogue and voice acting make for a decent prototype for the Oscar-winning Creature Comforts short film. But on the whole, I think I'd rather watch Chicken Run or Wallace & Gromit again. Hell, I've heard good things about that WW1 game they co-produced back in 2018. Whatever Aardman's reasons are for making a sequel to Chicken Run after 2 decades, I hope it's more memorable and less bland than this short, which hasn't given me any incentive to watch the other Conversation Pieces.
