Elizabeth Kerr Hollywood Reporter Wilson whips up an efficiently sleek actioner that knows where its comfort zone is and doesn't stray from it. Aug 15, 2017 Full Review Wilson Kwong VCinema The films existence is indeed a paradox that needs further explanation, and its title is therefore quite creatively apt. Feb 13, 2022 Full Review James Mudge easternKicks.com Paradox is much better than expected and one of the more brutal Hong Kong thrillers of the last while, boosted by a strong cast and by some excellent work by Sammo Hung Rated: 4/5 Oct 24, 2020 Full Review Ed Travis Cinapse Paradox isn't action-free or anything, but the star caliber isn't what it was in the first two, and the action just doesn't deliver in the way the first two films did. Nov 1, 2018 Full Review John Lui The Straits Times (Singapore) . . .[Director Wilson] Yip's syrupy daddy-love moments - featuring Singapore-born, Hong Kong-based actress-model Michelle Saram in a cameo as Lee's wife - make for painfully awkward watching. Rated: 2/5 Aug 23, 2017 Full Review Edmund Lee South China Morning Post Few genre fans should feel short-changed by Yip's brutal action showcase. Luci P Eh i watched it at 3 am tought it was cool, kinda was but i give 3,5 stars for the cool action Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/19/23 Full Review carlos t Minha opinião: Comando Final 3, este não e continuação dos outros 2 filmes. Roteiro: Bem feito Vale apena assistir? sim Nota: 7,5 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Manny P Lame would be doing it a favour. Some of the fight choreography is comical e.g. just stand there, I'll hit you when I'm done with this guy. Waste of time. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/22 Full Review Liam D Tony Jaa and the fight scenes are always a blast to watch everything else Meh Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/28/21 Full Review Audience Member I'm very much in the minority here, but while I liked SPL2 well enough, I vastly preferred SPL3. It had a story that was vastly more coherent (yet somewhat intricate on its own), has vastly better action sequences and a more morally grey villain. The one thing I will say that the second had over this is a stronger sense of intensity (that often lead to frustration), a more violent feel, and a more experimental nature (being from the Director of the somewhat-excellent Dog Bit Dog that makes sense), however this one is notably easier to follow-along with and is vastly more cathartic during the more violent parts. I also thought the ending was actually really rather brutal and tragic, but in an emotionally satisfying way, and Louis Koo's performance strongly helps sell the conclusion to this, ultimately, sad story. It also felt more in-line with the excellent first SPL film, albeit some of this is likely to returning Director Wilson Yip and a retread of the music - it too is about moral greys of both heroes and villains, but not in the modern self-indulgent "subversion" way; it's just smart. And as an action movie, it's satisfying, as well as grounded vastly more in reality after the borderline wire-fu of SPL2. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Excellent movie: Plot, action, actors. Just fabulous. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
