Agnès Jaoui's and Jean-Pierre Bacri's films, covered in disenchantment, have always been a search for reasons for optimism, with a bourgeois conformism that relieved or upset, according to the sensibility of each viewer. Suc M Sep 6 I really enjoyed watching Place Publique. The film is a fascinating depiction of a clash of generations. It also did an excellent job of reminding me of rural France in the 1980s. It is a very interesting film, treating important topics in a more realistic way than many others.
