Audience Member Melhor filme de Daniel Filho. Deliciosa comédia de humor negro com tintas Rodrigueanas, onde todo o elenco feminino está ótimo! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member very strange ending on how the nanny is dealt with and how a breakdown insues doesn't fit well with the intial story. kinda spoiled it Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Some differences the movie has from the book: It's not in Portugal, it's in São Paulo. Basílio comes from France, not Brazil. A great book of Eça de Queirós is transformed in a brazilian soap opera à la "globo". Disgusting. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member The book, needless to say, offers a deeper insight into the characters, the movie doesn't explain much of Luisa's background - which just made her look "too easy" from the start. The problem I saw in this film was the fact the director is used to a TV language and wasted a great opportunity to make a tasteful film. The actors were good, sex scenes were great, definitely worth watching, but overall the movie lacks passion and a better development. Gloria Pires (the governess) was one of the highlights, Debora Falabella (Luisa) also performed well despite her character being chopped and made plainly stupid. Not a complete waste of time, but also very forgettable. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Fabio Assunçãaaao! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member what's wrong with some men... sad ending though the husband forgave her. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews
