Rated 0.5/5 Stars •  Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member The book, needless to say, offers a deeper insight into the characters, the movie doesn't explain much of Luisa's background - which just made her look "too easy" from the start. The problem I saw in this film was the fact the director is used to a TV language and wasted a great opportunity to make a tasteful film. The actors were good, sex scenes were great, definitely worth watching, but overall the movie lacks passion and a better development. Gloria Pires (the governess) was one of the highlights, Debora Falabella (Luisa) also performed well despite her character being chopped and made plainly stupid.
