I can't quite call this movie incompetent, but it's a below-average movie with mediocre fight choreography, and really poor audio/visual qualities. The story barely exists, and seems to be missing an entire chunk where the movie literally changes villains about 10 minutes in, with the relation of the second one to the first being unclear.. like, he's clearly getting revenge for the first guy, but I'm not sure if the first villain possessed another guy, or revived a zombie, or pulled a Doctor Who-style face-change, or it's just the brother of the first villain. The acting is also rather pantomime and characters can only express themselves in overly extreme ways that make 80's Hong Kong films look underacted. There's no sense of catharsis during any of the action, the characters are rather one-dimensional, and the ending is, frankly, really unsatisfying. Oh, and the Second Act randomly plays out like a comedy while the First and Third Acts are completely straight-faced, and these tones do not fit together at all. Now, the movie does have some really nice scenery that helps tell the story, Panna Rittikrai does make for an imposing villain, and I do quite like the musical score in that pleasant B-movie sort of way. I honestly can't say that I hate the movie - I've seen it at least 3 times and will likely see it a couple of more times before I die, but a masterpiece it most certainly is not. What's funny, however, is that Spirited Killer 2 & 3 are both much, much more entertaining, and very strongly recommended.

This film isn't good at all... But it looks like it was shot on a commercial video camera in someone's back yard. The DVD has cool features and the translation is full of misspellings! Plus, early Tony Jaa. So... Fun times!!

I was disappointed that Tony Jaa was not in this film as advertised. Despite what a handful of people say, he is not in this film. At all. Unless you count the cover art... The movie is humorous enough, so it was not a total waste of time. Great MST 3K fodder. Horribly politically incorrect, so be warned.

Not that great. The fighting was ok, but the quality of the movie was really hard to watch. Plus Tony Jaa didn't have that big of part. Pretty much spent the whole movie trying to figure out who he even was in this movie.

Not bad but the later effors from Jaa are a lot more entertaining, better choreographed and better fight scenes - watching this after Ong Bak this does not stand up to it
