This fourth documentary in the "Why We Fight" propaganda series, shown in theaters across America during World War II to inform the public and rally support for the Allied troops, focuses on the harrowing bombardment of England by the Nazis in 1940. Using a combination of staged and real footage, director Frank Capra details the exploits of the heroic RAF pilots who fought the German Luftwaffe over the skies of London, and celebrates the courage of the British during their "darkest hour."

Audience Member totally engrossing WWII propaganda Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Maybe it's fatigue from having this stuff presented in a slightly more vigorous fashion in Guy Hamilton's Battle of Britain, but this certainly feels like a lesser entry in the Why We Fight series. Due to the nature of the campaign, it gets very monotonous very quickly. The footage is quite spectacular, though. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Also one of the "MUST WATTCH" movies. Really seen how British fighters go to war during the World War II.
