Audience Member This teen comedy led by the always entertaining Andrew Lawerence really carries itself pretty well keeping the audience engaged with the charm and laughter that is provided but only to a point it rapidly drops its momentum at the start of the final act but toward the end it manages to salvage the overall enjoyment that was delivered in the first half of the movie Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member The Other Me (2000) A Disney Channel Film. Some of it is cheesy like the CGI for the Cloning experiment or the music score by Mark Mothersbaugh. I like the actor casting the cuts. I think where this movie misses on the film is the music score. The comedy is there but the music is way too cheesy for the story. The music score should have played more seriously rather than use a music score that sounds like a kids child’s movie. If the music score was played more seriously like Back to the Future; then the film would have worked out as more convincing. Part of the reason this film did not work for me was some of the story or behavior by the clone seems so bizarre in behavior by the clone so it is not portrayed as a convincing performance. I had trouble believing the clone would act or behavior would be that way as portrayed in the film. I do like the fact that you can easily identify a significant difference in performances by the Clone vs the real person based upon the the way the walk, smile, or how they wear the clothes. I like the portrayal of the best friend, parents, and those who cloned at the Ocean Pup Science experiment shop. Those elements do work for me in this film. I like how they use the famous line from Casablanca “This is the beginning of a Wonderful relationship.” Dad portrayed by by Mark L Taylor and son & Clone portrayed by Andrew Lawrence. I did not realize how many things he did. He was the Voice in the Show and films Recess as TG Detwhiler. He was in a show Brotherly Love. He guest stared as a cousin in several seasons of the new version of Hawaii Five-0. Chuckie portrayed by Brendon Jefferson Victor portrayed by Scott McCord Conrad portrayed by Joe Grifasi Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/20 Full Review Audience Member Awesome movie. Andy Lawrence rocks as a clone! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member THIS WAS SOOOOOO FUNNY!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member The Other Me was slightly slow at first and a few scenes were unnecessary, but it ended up being quite enjoyable after a while. It entertained you and was a different, but still fun to watch, movie. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member When your clone is your frozen pizza-loving identical cousin. Lynne Heffley Los Angeles Times The plot's got more holes than Swiss cheese, but... "The Other Me" is a rarity: a family movie that's effervescent, good-natured and fun to watch. It also delivers--this is the biggest surprise--genuine moments of emotional depth.
