Audience Member What a brilliant idea to make an epic movie from the golden age of Bucharest. It has all the ingredients of Balkan melodrama, cynicism, betrayal, over the top characters and spectactular tragic ending. Highly recommended. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member The best Romanian movie in my book Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member a really big and very nicelly filmed production. Costumes, settings, actors, script, everything perfect. My personal favorite moment is where the protector of arts gives a brief lesson about the facts of life, art and artists to the young man. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member i respect caranfil's work but with this kind of movie you can't actually brag with it Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member filmul e bun, m-a prins si chiar m-a emotionat. la final s-a precipitat cam tare actiunea si a contrastat cu genul comedie din prima parte, are scuza razboiului insa. faza cu leon, ai incredere in baiatul acesta/ bine, tata mi se pare greu de inghitit la modul serios, la un film de comedie era ok, insa aici cand la sfarsit ti se cere sa iei in serios povestea, pica cam aiurea. in afara de asta, excelente decorurile si costumele de epoca, super evocarea acelor timpuri, foarte bun joc pt cel care l-a interpretat pe Grigore -personajul principal Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Captivating subject: how one of the first movies was made. It is happening in 1911.. [more] Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews
