David W Ironically, given the movies title full title of Life after Deth, there wasn't any... The one good thing about the Trancers franchise was Tim Thomerson who held everything together with his innate charisma. However, take away him and what you're left with is this tosh. Thomerson only appears via poorly reused previous movie scene footage and it's frankly insulting to the fans to have him on the credits. The movie itself is just awful. They were never blessed with much budget but this final nail in the Trancers coffin was really done on the cheap. The not at all special effects, the sets, locations, wardrobe, etc are all atrocious. All could be largely forgiven if the acting was any good but everyone just looks embarrassed to be in it, as well they should. A sad, sad end to the one great cult series. There really was no way back for it after this... Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/05/23 Full Review Audience Member If you can't get Tim Thomerson, use stock footage or have him jump into the body of his daughter Josephine (Zette Sullivan). Oh Full Moon, you are as cheap as you are sometimes loveable. The Trancers are just as deadly, but you know, Jack's a girl now. Or old footage. But mostly a lady. We neglected to mention that there was another sequel which was to be part of the Full Moon anthology Pulse Pounders called Trancers: City of Lost Angels that was on the old Trancers DVD and shows up on the blu ray release. It has Thomerson and Helen Hunt teaming up as an old enemy of Jack's named Edlin Shock escapes a maximum security facility and comes after our hero. So yeah. Trancers 6. Did you ever accept a wedding invite and then break up with someone and the two of you still decide to go together but it feels like an obligation and while there are some alright parts, you just can't wait to have it all be over? Yeah. It feels like that. That said, Sullivan is pretty decent and had some coaching — so says IMDB so take that with a grain of Trancers — from Thomerson, who told her to act like Steve McQueen, only more pissed off. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member same run of the mill plot. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Jack Deth is transported to Los Angeles in the year 2022 into the body of his daughter to stop a resurgent Trancer program. Tim Thomerson is missed here and so is a reasonable budget. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review philip h With the loss of Thomerson this franchise dies and this final film shows it. A cast of nobodies in a D-Movie (if not lower) with nasty home video style effects, poorly shot action, inept acting and coupled with the exact same run of the mill plot. They even have the cheek to crowbar in footage of Thomerson as 'Deth' at the start making us believe hes in the film, albeit for about three min. Bad move as that idea nearly always comes across phony looking such as the many martial arts films with Bruce Lee footage awkwardly stuck in. Gone are all the cool witty wise cracks from Deth, that classic tough guy presence which always gave these films a tiny edge. This time Deth has apparently somehow taken over his own daughters body to fight the bad guys. Its a reasonable idea but we all know its purely because there is no Thomerson to play Deth. We are meant to believe that Deth is inside this feisty young female, the same mannerisms, speech, attitude etc...it doesn't really work lets be honest, nice try though. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member This is by far...the WORST movie that I have EVER SEEN! Mind you, I'm also a fan of MST3K, so I've seen my share of bad movies. This is an insult to the "Trancers" series of films. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
