Brian Orndorf Blu-ray.com The feature isn't a good example of multi-character storytelling, but it does remain on the move, with Cardona Jr. interested in exploitation elements to hold attention. Rated: B Jul 11, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Low budget shlock that knows what it is. Gratuitous nudity, violence, gore, "action," over the hill stars looking of a payday and unintentional comedy. With that said it's at least 20 minutes longer than it needed to be which will test your feelings of it's so good it's bad to just bad. Luckily it saves the best for last with a third act filled with crosses and double crosses. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member The only thing that Treasure of the Amazon (aka Greed) has going for it is its location work and work with real animals, and that's about it. It's a pretty deplorable and boring tale about two groups of people trying to find gold and/or diamonds in South America, and everything goes wrong when both the natives and greed take them out one by one. There are some shocking things about it. A man eats a live tarantula at one point, for example. It's almost like a more public-friendly version of Cannibal Ferox, or something like that. Or better yet, a harder-edged Romancing the Stone, but without the romance. It's not a great movie, and it struggles to keep up with its tiresome pace and characters you just don't care about. Actors Stuart Whitman and Donald Pleasence star in the film, but the rest of the cast I didn't recognize from anything. Rifftrax recently did a nice riffing on the film, which makes it just a little easier to swallow (pun intended). Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member It's one of those films that is so bad, you have to watch it once. The story is promising, as well as the participation of several noteworthy actors, but fails to deliver. Watch it for the awful gore and semi-naked women! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member A fun Mexican adventure flick in the same vein as Indiana Jones movies but not necessarily a shameless rip-off. Moderately interesting characters, decent gore, a slimy villain, a decent plot, a foreboding jungle setting and a relieving absence of animal cruelty as is so typical with jungle horror. See it!
