Audience Member SPOILERS AHEAD *** This movie has the catchy soundtrack of a classic 80s action flick....if it had sex with a hillbilly, lyrics written by a 4 year old, and the music guy occasionally presses random cartoon, horror, and sci fi sound effects. "Fight for your right to fight" is EXACTLY the theme song I expect out of a film like this. Glorious. The plot is.... who cares? Nobody's watching this for the plot. Which is fortunate, since there's barely any of it, and it doesn't start for AGES. First, twin martial arts bros with just the WORST 70s porn 'staches wander around with a couple of girls and get accosted every five seconds by a series of sad, strange bullies alternating with a series of sad, strange rapists. With no choice but to react to such choice insults as "Why don't you order some milk and cookies?", the Dragon Twins use the power of slow-motion fight scenes (in which the slo-mo only highlights the incredibly basic and poorly executed choreography) to drag this student film to a whopping 72 minutes of hilariously awkward, racist, sexist, possibly transphobic, unnecessarily-rapey nonsense. The plot actually starts when the Dragon Twins have the audacity to prevent their girlfriends from being taken by - and I swear I am not making this up - Canoe Rape Pirates. The leader is an UTTERLY DELIGHTFUL Mad Max reject who chews the scenery and his lines with equal fervor, through gritted teeth and smeared eyeliner, his kung fu commando pirate henchmen wonderfully inept and his motives and priorities highly confused. This guy's performance is hands-down the best thing about this movie. It ALMOST makes up for the unfortunate boredom you'll feel any time he isn't on screen. Even the return of the main theme song isn't quite enough to make the action scenes exciting. Overall, if you have a bunch of friends online and a sufficient amount of intoxicants (and are okay with the incessant rape attempts), making fun of this movie is a very pleasant evening.
