Audience Member A thorough and compelling examination of the the fall of communism, the brief rise of democracy, and Putin's dictatorial power. The film examines the rise and fall of Mikhail Khodorkovsky, Russia's richest man and once head of Yukos Oil. He likely began as a corrupt oligarch with mob ties, but shifted towards bringing more transparency to his business. As he gained too much power and began to oppose Putin, he was thrown in jail without any substantial evidence. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews
