What to Know

Critics Consensus

Like its predecessor, the retooled 90210 is a sleek, campy guilty pleasure -- though it's unfortunately less pleasurable.

Juliana Tringali Bitch Media I thought it'd at least be worthwhile to see Shannen Doherty reprise her role as Brenda Walsh, but not even one of my favorite characters ever could keep me watching for more than 3 episodes. Dec 18, 2020 Full Review Claire Zulkey AV Club I don't plan on becoming a devoted fan of the new 90210 but it displayed more tongue-in-cheek writing than I expected (although my standards were quite low). Rated: B Dec 30, 2019 Full Review Christopher Rosen Observer By trying to be all things to all viewers, 90210 feels rudderless. It lacks the dry wit of The O.C., the trashy snark of Gossip Girl and the pure melodrama of the original 90210. Dec 26, 2019 Full Review Sandrine Sahakians TV Equals I thought it was ok, nothing to jump up and down about and definitely not as good as the original 90210. Dec 30, 2019 Full Review Alan Pergament Buffalo News With the help of a strong musical soundtrack, it's off to a better-than-expected start and may strike a chord with teenagers. Rated: 3/4 Dec 30, 2019 Full Review Tom Gliatto People Magazine It is not a good sign that a high point late in the new version's debut was the arrival of [Shannen] Doherty, who by now looks as if she were ready to star in a Quentin Tarantino movie. D. B OMG where do I begin!? It's flat out awful. Was downsizing my DVD collection and started to re-watch the series I was so confused at what I was watching. I could not believe that I actually used to like and love the show. I think that this show should be watched by a younger youthful audience no offense to those older who like it but I had to ask myself why did I used to like the show so much? and I remembered I was young and at the time I wanted their life. Now as I got older I'm just over this and I'm seriously shocked that they made it past more than one season on air sorry but I'm giving this one a one star. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member I liked this season of 90210, it wasn't my favourite but it highlighted many topics and delved into deeper substances of the show! Overall, I loved Silver's plot of being Bipolar I think it is important to highlight these issues in shows teens watch. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review steve d Eggold and Jessica Stroup steel the show and are unfortunately the only likable characters. Most of the cast is really entertaining. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member I gave this show a shot only because of Matt Lanter (after watching his Star-Crossed). 90210 surprised me though as it was extremely entertaining and fun to watch. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 06/19/15 Full Review Audience Member The show starts off slow, and kind of stupid, but once you get past the first few episodes it's amazing! Definitely my favorite show of all time! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member How a show like this gets made is beyond me. Must be a hell of a salesperson to pitch this garbage. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
