Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear reimagine the procedural drama with "9-1-1." The series explores the high-pressure experiences of first responders -- including police officers, firefighters and dispatchers -- who are thrust into the most frightening, shocking and heart-stopping situations. These emergency responders must try to balance saving those who are at their most vulnerable with solving the problems in their own lives. The show draws from real-life, high-pressure experiences of first responders who regularly face heart-stopping situations that are often unpredictable, intense and uplifting at the same time.

This season has been an emotional rollercoaster, and it might be one of the most memorable yet. It is also shorter, which feels like an improvement. Our favorite characters face new challenges, from their own "Poseidon Adventure" to a beloved character suddenly discovering his bisexuality, a nearly-crashed wedding, and a devastating fire that almost claims the life of a major character. While it is undeniably entertaining to watch these characters navigate dangerous situations and personal struggles, it is hard not to notice how deeply unrealistic and repetitive the show has become. Yet, despite the characters' never-ending bad luck and the soap opera-like storylines, we cannot help but return for every episode. At least now, it’s perfect for binge-watching! The bisexual Buck storyline has been a long time coming and he portrays it with a vulnerability that is both innocently cute and easily relatable. That storyline will probably get a lot of trolling but I think that true fans will really enjoy it.
