Materialistic surgeon Michael Holt (Patrick Wilson) always believed in working hard for the luxuries in life until he started seeing the dead. Specifically his ex-wife, Anna, who in life was an idealistic doctor who worked with the underprivileged. When Holt decides to heed her request to help keep her old clinic running, he is touched by those who need his help, and his attitude about serving the poor turns upside down in the process. Michael's off-beat sister, single mother Christina, is happy about Anna's "return" to Michael's life because she feels he was a better person with Anna around.

Ken Tucker Entertainment Weekly CBS doubtless hopes it will be discovered by the female demo that liked Medium and Ghost Whisperer. Rated: B Nov 11, 2011 Full Review Alan Sepinwall HitFix I was less impressed by the direction and felt the show was tonally inconsistent. Sep 23, 2011 Full Review Jonathan Storm Philadelphia Inquirer A Gifted Man is solid enough, in fact, to make you forget it's a ghost story. Sep 23, 2011 Full Review Jessica Johnson Time Out Chicago As cosmic missions go, that seems a little weak. Jul 2, 2018 Full Review Lily Moayeri Under the Radar This is the kind of show that pretends to be serialized, but is really episodic. If you are in the mood for a weekly dose of forced do-gooder-ness by a really hot doctor who has a direct connection to immortality, check in with Dr. Holt. Rated: 5/10 May 11, 2018 Full Review Esther Inglis-Arkell io9.com Possibly the season could take some interesting turns... But most likely it will the bittersweet romantic movie that never ends... Audience Member There's no good place to comment on the original Mr. Noodle, nor is there any entry on this site for Bill Irwin's masterpiece, "The Regard of Flight" (1983), so I thought this was an apt place to drop a note about how wonderful your guest star is, and how everyone should know about his work. "The Regard of Flight" is the story of life, theatre, the dream, the song, the nagging journalist fighting with you who is also your biggest fan, the constant narration of your own technique, and do you use the device to catapult you on stage? This work knew about social media before it was a trampoline. It is one of the most gorgeous forgotten pieces of the stage which needs to be unforgotten. 5 stars for your guest star! And 5 stars for someone to get this going on stage again, as it is a perfect fit for the times, and oh-so-family friendly. Google it! Thanks :) Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review steve d Wilson is great and the story interesting, it does not always know what to do with it's supernatural elements. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member I LOVED this series and have NO idea why CBS did NOT renew it! Great story-line, superb acting. I imagine because it was on Friday nights (I think) , it did not fare well. I wanted to see more after the last episode but...........DAMN! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member What a great show! I'm not a big TV Series fan but this show was so well written, so well cast and so brilliantly acted….what the hell were they thinking by canceling it? It kills me that we have so much of the reality show garbage degrading the quality of television and they take this show off? CBS….feed us quality shows! Bring back 'A Gifted Man' and let it breath. It is such a relevant story. I just finished watching 16 episodes in 4 days and I am craving more!!!!!!! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
