Spencer James is a rising high school football player and A student at South Crenshaw High, but when coach Billy Baker recruits him to join his team in Beverly Hills, Spencer's mother, Grace, and his best friend, Coop, convince him it's an opportunity he has to seize. Forced to move in with Billy and his family to protect his transfer permit to Beverly, Billy's son Jordan, who is also the starting quarterback, is less than thrilled to be sharing his father's attention -- or the team spotlight. While Spencer struggles to find his footing, he makes an unlikely friend in Jordan's sister, who is struggling with her own demons.

Candice Frederick TV Guide All American is an easily digestible series dealing with real-world issues primarily through a teenage lens, even if it has forgotten its initial purpose. Rated: 3/5 Jan 15, 2021 Full Review Glenn Garvin Reason Online The kids are pleasant enough, but the scripts they've been handed are a pointless mess. SkyRo P This television series has had its fair share of highs and lows, with moments that feel like pure gold and others that come across as underwhelming. Season one took me on a roller coaster ride, piquing my interest in the show with its character development and intricate storylines. While Spencer's character initially threw me off with his over-the-top behavior, season two offered a different perspective and allowed for growth and redemption. Characters like Olivia, Jordan, and L added depth to the series, but Coop remained a weak link for me. As the series progressed into season three, I found myself falling behind and losing interest. Despite eventually catching up, I felt this season was the weakest link, lacking the engagement I had experienced before. However, season four marked a turning point, reigniting my excitement and setting the stage for a thrilling narrative shift. Season five soared to new heights, becoming the pinnacle of the series. The unexpected turn of events surrounding Billy left me eagerly anticipating the next chapter and the unfolding adventure. However, as the series heads towards its final season, I find myself less captivated. While I continue to follow the storyline, it lacks the gripping allure of earlier seasons, especially since Billy's character is no longer present. In hindsight, the final season may have struggled to maintain the series' initial charm, especially in the absence of Billy. Despite this, I remain committed to seeing the story through to its conclusion, even if it fails to capture my attention as effectively as earlier seasons. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/11/24 Full Review Randy P The BLM movement was just to much for me. I belive that yes there is problems out there in society but this season i feel puts more people against each other Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/04/23 Full Review Kristin J First two season were good. Third season was awful. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/23/23 Full Review Alan A All of the cheap CW writing without any of the charm of Arrow or Riverdale Rated 2 out of 5 stars 08/11/22 Full Review Audience Member Though it still is a bit rocky at points. The show keeps me entertained and sometimes makes me want to watch the next episode. It a good watch and has some characters introduced that aren't that amazing as the previous. This season is still good and I would definitely recommend watching. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member its so great I'm so happy he's back home but i still wish they didn't fight. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
