Lionel H this goes for the remix and this season, they were both great and i had no problem watching each of them. But i do recommend the original season 4 . Season four begins with a behind-the-scenes problem so detrimental to an ensemble cast sitcom that it's a wonder that it got produced at all: Each actor was at an apex of their career when Netflix started making its own content. This meant that the actors were unable to synch schedules in order to all be present simultaneously (except for the one living room scene). Ron Howard and team set off to use this disadvantage and try to spin it into a storytelling device wherein each episode focuses on a singular character (with some exceptions i.e., Lindsey and Tobias, George Michael and his father). This is likely where the team lost some of the fans, but what results was a densely packed joke-fest told in an "off the wall" style in which punchlines would occur two episodes before the setup. This format almost demands to be rewatched to truly appreciate the whole experience, and it's not just about getting the full value out of the jokes either. There are thematic motifs and callbacks so perfectly placed throughout that there is a lot to find enjoyment in with a second, or even third watch through. Ultimately this isn't the same Arrested Development that we all loved so much from the Fox days, but there's still a ton to love, so long as viewers are prepared to recalibrate their viewing experience a bit. The series continues with long-running gags. Though seeing the aging characters up to the same old things is kind of depressing. The laughs don't come as fast, and the season's ending is a let-down.
