Disillusioned at the thought of taking down another "mark," depressed, low-level hit man Barry Berkman seeks a way out. When the Midwesterner reluctantly travels to Los Angeles to execute a hit on an actor who is bedding a mobster's wife, little does Barry know that the City of Angels may be his sanctuary. He follows his target into acting class and ends up instantly drawn to the community of eager hopefuls, especially dedicated student Sally, who becomes the object of his affection. While Barry wants to start a new life as an actor, his handler, Fuches, has other ideas, and the hit man's criminal past won't let him walk away so easily.

A proper masterpiece. Remarkably filmed, written, and played. All the characters are complex, deep, and almost always not what they seem to be. The show keeps evolving in every season, starting as a comedy but going towards something much more profound and dark as time passes. It keeps you relentlessly questioning yourself about what is right and what is wrong. Hilarious scenes, violence, empathy or absence of it, and fast paced scenes make it the best show I have ever seen.

It's an excellent first Season, which balances drama and comedy very good, full of bizarre, strange, annoying characters, especially when You compare the acting students and the chechens and who comes out of this comparison as more likable. Bill Hader is the Star, but Anthony Carrigan sometimes steals the show as "Noho Hank", a great character 🙂

70/100 - not bad but not great. the show tries too hard to be both a comedy and drama, but the lines become too blurred and it fails at both. the characters in season 1 are odd and a bit unbelievable but there are some really witty, hilarious parts.
