Guest appearances from Bosch are welcome because the actors are fantastic. However, the manner in which those guest appearances are brought in are hit or miss. Some seem very natural and organic to their scenes. Others seem forced and poorly edited in. One final note - if you are expecting the same look and feel of Bosch, you may be slightly disappointed. The episodes are directed, filmed, and edited differently than Bosch, to include that background audio that casually sets the tone for each scene - which, when done properly is nearly transparent to a viewer. No need to spoil anything here, but this was a logical progression. Some words of warning: the original Bosch series was a different show, and much of Legacy tries but doesn't quite hit the mark as its predecessor did. It's still a solid show, and it maintains the spirit and the intent of the original, but it's definitely different. I suspect we all hope the "sequel" keeps on this course. The writing is nearly as good as was with Bosch, and the directors and visual panache of the original is still present. There are two notable absences in Legacy but overall the flavor and the feel are still there and will hopefully remain in place until they go in a new direction or call it off. Assuming it keeps on going -- and I am hopeful they will continue this show in perpetuity -- plan on watching lots more and lots later than you originally planned or hoped. It's addictive, fun, engaging and genuine. And while the entire cast is phenomenal, Titus Weilliver is an amazing, honest and gifted actor. Great show.
