The detectives of Brooklyn's 99th Precinct -- hotshot Jake Peralta, overachiever Amy Santiago, tough-as-nails Rosa Diaz, sweetheart Charles Boyle, devoted family man Sgt. Terry Jeffords and clueless best friends Scully and Hitchcock -- make up a loveable and offbeat squad that must get its act together when the office gets a new captain, the no-nonsense, unflappable Raymond Holt. Along with civilian office manager and social butterfly Gina Linetti, nothing will stop the crew from doing does what it does best -- bust the bad guys.

Aisha Harris Slate Even with good writing, Gina wouldn't work nearly so well if it weren't for the deadpan, dead-on delivery of Peretti. At least half the fun of Gina's quips comes from the actress and comedian's performance. Jan 9, 2019 Full Review Robert Bianco USA Today Showcases Samberg's comic talents while reducing the smugness that can sometimes tarnish them. Jan 9, 2019 Full Review Erik Adams AV Club It's effortlessly cultivated a crackerjack sense of ensemble play-to the point where celebrating a single member of the cast is absurd. Rated: B+ Feb 7, 2014 Full Review Tania Hussain The Hudsucker From the pilot to now, you can clearly see the show has certainly found its comedic niche while still invoking the spirit of similar sitcoms but with its own mold and identity. Jul 10, 2024 Full Review Randy Dankievitch Processed Media Confident, subtly poignant, and funny (with a racially and sexually diverse cast, to boot) - what else can you ask from a comedy pilot? Rated: A- Feb 19, 2020 Full Review Gem Seddon SFX Magazine The fact that its die-hard fanbase pulled together to rescue it from the axe is perhaps the biggest endorsement you could want for a show. Oh, and it's really funny, which is what you want out of a sitcom really, isn't it? Nov 16, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

jolin t Evidence that shows can be funny and sensitive simultaneously. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/27/25 Full Review Elena G With an oversaturation of cop shows on TV, Brooklyn Nine-Nine provides a refreshing comedic take and a strong start on what could have been a basic procedural. If you were a a fan of Psych, you'll be a fan of this. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/15/25 Full Review Noam S A must-see. It includes cop-drama with great comedy and still manages to succesfully discuss some sensitive topics. The cast ensemble is great and every character is perfectly portrayed. Great for binge watching, once you start watching you won't be able to stop. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/17/25 Full Review elmo y i like a show with many seasons and shorter episodes for my lunch breaks, so that i have something to watch whenever i have time in between work. the show is silly, fun and easy to watch with a long story line that shows itself by revisiting certain topics over all seasons while still being simple enough to enjoy each episode on their own :) i’ve watched most rom coms and comedy shows, this one is one of my all time favs that i revisit every few years because it seems so effortless! the built up’s for the jokes are amazing and the characters work well on their own, as a team and as the most random duos. it’s not like you only focus on one character all the time, all characters match each other which make it seem easy and effortless. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/15/25 Full Review Obi-wan K Some 30 yr old nerd told me to watch this Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/25 Full Review Chad P This show was hilarious. After a couple of recommendations, I finally watched it and had a blast. The show is well cast and written. In the later seasons, they touch on sensitive topics related to law enforcement but only explore one perspective which was very disappointing, but overall it's a tremendous show.
