These stories are neither clever nor enlightening. They just have monsters in the endings. Here’s an example, NOT one of the anthology’s stories: A guy goes to a drugstore and is nasty to the pharmacist. The pharmacist gives him his prescription from out of which grows a squid that strangles him when he gets home (after fifty minutes).
