Kenny Herzog AV Club At times, "The Unforgiven" feels desperate to reintroduce its cast by amplifying their cartoonish qualities, perhaps to offset Hank's fairly one-dimensional malaise throughout. Rated: B- Jan 13, 2013 Full Review Jonathan Pacheco Slant Magazine The season's contrived storyline is a forced and inelegant string of events that tries to come across as serendipitous. Rated: 1.5/5 Jan 12, 2013 Full Review Chris Longo Den of Geek In many ways, Season Six was a breather for Californication. It was the guy in the cubicle next to you who took a sick day after the boss ripped him to shreds the day before. Rated: 3/5 Oct 11, 2018 Full Review Rae Alexandra L.A. Weekly With each passing year, things have been kicked up a notch, so now, six seasons in, the scenarios featured are so extreme they're no longer funny, merely cringe-inducing. Oct 11, 2018 Full Review Ethan Alter Television Without Pity Just close your eyes and think of The X-Files (preferably Seasons 1-4). Mar 25, 2014 Full Review Chris O'Hara TV Fanatic After a disappointing premiere left me worrying about the rest of Californication Season 6, "Quitters"made a me a believer once again. Audience Member This was a comeback for the series it also contributed to the let down that was season 7 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review enlightened d Only slightly better than the fifth season. Hank should have ended up with Faith, and the series should have ended here. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member At least this season feels like Californication, and doesn't feel out of place like the last season. This season also had the last Stephen Hopkins episode, and it was very disappointing. It was also the season finale, and it sucked. The first four episodes are fine (the first is really good) but after that it just sucks. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member This was rough, like really rough. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member The show really starts slowing down by the 5th and 6th season where the characters have run their course. They seem to have no real content to give to their viewers anymore as Hank Moody finally starts getting his shit together. The tensions between random girls, girls from his lifestyle and Karen and Becca just don't exist anymore or have got way too monotonous. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
