Inspired by the popular video game series, this anime series is a dark medieval fantasy. It follows the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, Trevor Belmont, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hands of Vlad Dracula Tepes. As Dracula and his legion of vampires prepare to rid the world of humanity's stain, Belmont is no longer alone, and he and his misfit comrades race to find a way to save mankind from the grief-maddened Dracula.

Victor Pineyro Seventh Art Studio Season 1 feels like a trailer next to season 2. Castlevania is one of the most entertaining and macabre animated TV shows out there. Full review in Spanish Rated: 8/10 Apr 8, 2022 Full Review Justin Charity The Ringer It took me until the sixth episode in the second season for me to realize I'd come to appreciate Castlevania. May 22, 2021 Full Review James Beckett Anime News Network Absolutely worth watching, whether you've loved the games for years, or you simply have a thirst for brutal action that comes with a heaping helping of cheesy gore on the side. Rated: B+ Mar 2, 2021 Full Review Shah Shahid Comic Years While most of season 2 is all this, West Wing / House Of Cards styled political drama in Dracula's court, the final two episodes are epic battle sequences! Nov 18, 2020 Full Review Motzie Dapul What Culture While not the perfect season, it certainly delivers on both action and slick, smart writing, somehow doubling down on the "animated Game of Thrones" comparison with thickening plots, intrigue, and a complex cast of characters, both old and new. Jan 28, 2019 Full Review Daniel Kurland Bloody Disgusting Castlevania's second season may occasionally become too slow for some, but the heights that it hits are so high that it's hard to begrudge it for its lethargic pacing. Audience Member Castlevania Season 2 takes everything that made the first season great and elevates it to new heights. With more episodes to develop its story, the series expands on its characters, delivering deeper emotional arcs and more intense action sequences. Trevor, Sypha, and Alucard make for a fantastic trio, with their banter and camaraderie adding a layer of charm that balances the dark, gothic atmosphere. Meanwhile, Dracula’s side of the story is just as compelling, with his war council filled with intriguing and well-developed antagonists. The animation is even more fluid, the fight scenes are thrilling, and the writing strikes a perfect balance between humor, tragedy, and exhilarating adventure. The departures from the video games continue to serve the story well, making the world feel richer and more immersive. Simply put, Season 2 is even better than the first—it’s a blast to watch from start to finish, cementing Castlevania as one of the best video game adaptations ever made. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/18/25 Full Review Bob S Amazing! 11/10. I watched the entire season in a day because I was so invested. I need them to make a season 3 asap! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/20/25 Full Review Mike P I loved the first season and thought it was an absolute masterpiece. Second season feels like a little bit of a sophomore slump; the animation is starting to weaken a little bit; the stories aren't quite as strong. Still watchable. Hope Part 3 picks up... Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/31/24 Full Review Ben J Absolute masterpiece of one of animation loved every second of it great transition from the games, great characters, great story and great visuals.
