Mel and Maggie Vera suffer a shock when their mother dies suddenly, but before they have time to heal from their loss, another surprise shows up on their doorstep in the shape of an older sister -- brilliant geneticist Macy -- whom their mother never told them existed. The emotional stress takes its toll and the girls begin to exhibit impossible new abilities. An explanation comes from an unexpected place: the new chair of the women's studies department. Harry Greenwood reveals that the three are powerful witches, and he is their whitelighter, there to advise and guide them as they battle dark forces.

Princess Weekes The Mary Sue It is a compelling storyline and finally something interesting we didn’t see in the original. Charmed is often at its best when it is trying to say something meaningful about power Apr 12, 2022 Full Review Anna Govert Culturess With three new showrunners steering the ship, it felt like this season premiere was truly a love letter to the fans of Charmed; a way to show appreciation for seasons past while ushering in a new era. Mar 14, 2022 Full Review Paul Dailly TV Fanatic The writing is considerably stronger than the first few seasons, and for the first time in quite a while, the characters are moving forward in ways that feel true to them. Diana G The writers did it great, even showing the pain of grief (which the original didn't) and leaving the door open for a crossover with the original (And the actresses being banned from CBS because they canceled the series before giving fans a new look at the Original saga enhanced with the charisma of the reboot). Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/26/23 Full Review jorge a i love this show,I don't understand the hate, it's like they already surpassed the original, they have nothing to do with it. There are people that go on and on STOP this show was excellent it needs a 5th season Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Sankalp good S I hope we would see more seasons but it's okay 👏♥️🥰👌🌟😃 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/11/23 Full Review Audience Member I loved this season and am a fan of the first charmed so when the season was pointing to a multiverse plot where these charmed ones and the the "original charmed ones" could possibly meet. I was like all my god this is great, this is what fans have wanted from the beginning! I binged watched the entire season in 2 days on Netflix, and then I found out that the show is canceled. I was not a huge fan in season one but the stories got better and better until I became a fan and now its over, well that sucks. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review jon c Well the ‘Charmed' reboot is back again for a 4th run but also its last Season 3 had Harry and Macy confess their feelings for each other, Abigayle was willing to change her ways, and Harry was adjusting to his human life Only this time things are much different; Josefina was discovered on Mel's side of the family and she knew as much magic as the others while the Charmed ones confronted the Perfecti Maggie also discovered she was going to have a child someday Much like the older show one of the three sisters ended up dying; Macy passed away trying to wipe out the Whispering Evil that took over the world in the future Maggie and Mel and Harry tried their hardest to save her All seemed lost that is until another Charmed one they're told is out there to continue things Season 4 opens with a woman named Kaela, an auto mechanic/graffiti artist and a cancer survivor She starts having dreams of strange things and people she's never met….it's the Charmed ones of all things! She's meant to be the new member to assist Maggie, Mel, and Harry Kaela actually has manifestation powers; whatever she draws or paints comes to life They'll definitely need one another to combat a new evil corrupting magical creatures by the name of The Tallyman He even frames the Charmed ones making the rest of the supernatural world feel unsafe Is Kaela ready though to accept her destiny? Can she embrace being a Charmed one? The girls' father returns with a supernatural curse put on his heart but he doesn't have the courage to tell him Even Kaela's parents are tracked down so she can have some clarity Maggie also wants to move forward with Jordan not putting his life in constant danger being the basis of their love if they are to go any further The series finale leads to a group called the Unseen; a gathering of supernatural beings whom have felt wronged by the Charmed ones' inactions They are set for retribution eager to resurrect a dark evil to take out Kaela, Maggie, and Mel forever But they get help from an unlikely ally explaining the entire history of the Charmed sisterhood, much of it ties back to previous seasons too…I'll even say it sums up everything to the older show that starred Shannen Doherty, Rose McGowan, Alyssa Milano, and Holly Marie Combs This is their last chance to fix everything before all humankind and magical kind is lost forever It's a shame this reboot didn't last as long as the older show cause I was willing to see more of it given the chance to expand The final confrontation I felt was very rushed but after 4 seasons I'm happy I got to know these new witches played by Sarah Jeffery, Melonie Diaz, Lucy Barrett, and Madeline Mantock Even Harry played by Rupert Evans felt like a new welcome addition as their Whitelighter The last scene also gave a very big treat for longtime fans hearkening back to the days of old…. This newer show definitely works best when it's trying to address the meaning of power and how to use it wisely The creators truly made a love letter to past seasons while also ushering in a new era The characters moved forward big time along with the magical challenges that awaited concerning friends, loved ones, lost ones, and learning to come together in the bonds of sisterhood biological or magical ‘Charmed' will always be one of the most popular brands on the WB and the CW speaking to young girls about independence, strength, love, compassion, empathy, understanding, and finding the better of solutions to problems for all communities existing with one another Another show that got the axe too soon but it still managed to succeed where other reboots of familiar programs have failed The Power of 3 ready for anything….. Farewell Charmed ones and thanks for your continued magical storytelling for old and new audiences Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review tyler w This season has been a big improvement, consistency wise compared to the previous. shame its being cancelled.
