      Season 4 – Cheers

      1985 Comedy List
100% 6 Reviews Tomatometer 97% Fewer than 50 Ratings Audience Score Laid-back Sam Malone, a former relief pitcher for the Boston Red Sox, owns and runs Cheers, a cozy bar in Boston. He hires smart, uptight -- and jilted -- Diane Chambers as a server, out of sympathy, but their attraction causes constant bickering. Wacky characters fill the bar: sarcastic waitress Carla, beer-loving accountant Norm, know-it-all postman Cliff. When Diane leaves Boston much later, Sam sells the bar, buys a boat and sails the world, but his boat sinks, so he returns. New, ambitious manager Rebecca Howe hires him back, but they love to hate each other too. Read More Read Less Watch on Fandango at Home Premiered Sep 26 Buy Now

Audience Member I've thoroughly enjoyed two sitcoms in my entire life, both before my "time" and this is one of them. Hilarious and fun. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Cheers Season 4 is another great season. frasier is slowly becoming a better character in this season and Woody is a nice character although feels a bit too much like the coach at times. Still it is a very fun season. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review dave d Simply the best better than all the rest! Mike Duffy Detroit Free Press Simply put, Cheers is the best comedy series on television. It sparkles with the sort of sophisticated writing and superb ensemble acting reminiscent of such classic series as The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Taxi. Jun 15, 2021 Full Review Ed Siegel Boston Globe Whether they're there to escape loneliness (Cliff), their nuclear families (Norm), to meet women (Sam, the owner) or out of some yearning for camaraderie (Diane), there is a sense of humorously desperate togetherness. Jun 15, 2021 Full Review David Bianculli Philadelphia Inquirer This is a good year for Cheers: tight writing, good performing. Last week's dream episode was itself a dream, and the continual sparks among Diane, Sam and Frasier make for a delightful, combustible combination. Jun 15, 2021 Full Review Gerardo Orlando Bullz-Eye.com Despite the loss of Coach, season four ranks up there as one of the best seasons of this great series. Rated: 4.5/5 Apr 17, 2020 Full Review JoBlo JoBlo's Movie Network With the introduction of Woody Boyd and the greater integration of Frasier Crane, the gang at Cheers kept everyone laughing and loving along with original episodes featuring their many loveable, goofy and relatable characters.
