Jake Wilson The Age (Australia) In today’s despoiled blockbuster landscape, the fact filmmaking this energetic, ambitious and sheerly eccentric remains possible is no cause for complaint. Rated: 4/5 May 23, 2024 Full Review Matthew Gilbert Boston Globe On paper, it’s predictable material. But like the best romantic comedies, the chemistry between Brammall and Dyer and the particularities they bring to their characters elevate the whole thing. Dec 15, 2023 Full Review Judy Berman TIME Magazine There’s a lot of messy behavior and raunchy humor here, and the show is smart about the way it addresses the age gap between Ashley and Gordon. Fans of rom-coms about charmingly imperfect couples will surely find another favorite in Colin From Accounts. Dec 1, 2023 Full Review Alberto Carlos Espinof It is, in short, a wonderful and hilarious romantic comedy that rightly puts a twist here and there on the conventions of the genre, to build something essential for lovers of this type of fiction. [Full review in Spanish] Rated: 4/5 Jan 29, 2024 Full Review Julia Swift My Champlain Valley Not a show that’s going to stick with you and make you think about life, but it might make you laugh. The lead actors, also the creators, give it their all showing more vulnerability and relatability as the season progresses. Rated: 6/10 Nov 24, 2023 Full Review Martin Brown Common Sense Media Colin from Accounts takes its name from the dog that brings its central couple together and keeps them together. Donn A A dynamic duo! Great supporting cast & brilliant writing. 😅 Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/15/25 Full Review Stephen G What a wonderful, quirky, funny show, with just a dash of drama here and there. The dog is cute, but really serves as just a plot device for getting the two main characters together. Great acting by the two of them as they display lots of humor and lots to like about both, along with some normal human frailty. The Australian comedy on display here is a bit more slapstick and bawsy than what American audiences might be accustomed to. But it all feeds into the show's overall charm. Season Two was sadly not nearly as good as Season One, but I'll address that separately in reviewing Season Two. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/25 Full Review John N An under explored reality of the world. Australians and the way they live. Absolutely Hilarious. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/04/25 Full Review Lorrie W We hadn't heard anything about Colin from Accounts when we stumbled across it and decided to give it a go. It's one of those cringe-y, completely inappropriate, sweet, awkward, hilarious and charming comedies where you fall in love with the characters and find yourself simultaneously rooting for them and horrified by them. Can't get enough. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/21/24 Full Review Donald D Absolute gem and just gets better with every episode. It’s a watch. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/07/24 Full Review Neil G Brilliant droll comedy without the forced laughs that dominate the TV comedy landscape. Concept, script and performances spot on.
