Tara Ariano Slate Cougar Town is an open house where the wine flows freely and even Tom, the weirdest guy on the cul-de-sac will (eventually) be (provisionally) accepted. Test T I've been watching this on DVD recently, after watching the first two seasons previously. Despite having fewer episodes, I'm finding this season to be starting off very well. There is some really good writing here, creating some great comedy. Jules now has a shrink, who she takes her friends to see when they upset her, which I find a very amusing addition. There's also a delightful opening to one of the episodes where Travis allows the a capella group he befriended in Hawii to stay with Jules for a week which I thought was absolute comedy genius. One of Grayson's ex-flings is now on the scene with his infant son which also adds plenty of comedic oppotunities. Sadly, as the season reaches it's conclusion the writers choose to focus several episodes on Jules' and Grayson's wedding which weakened the entertainment value, and I was dissappointed by the final double episode. although the wedding was well presented when it finally happened. I'd still highly recommend this season although the quality of story and script is patchy in some episodes. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/14/24 Full Review Nick S Still okay and watchable even though the show completely pivoted from its original premise. They do keep finding ways to keep it enjoyable however. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Season 3 of Cougar Town was significantly better than the first two seasons, however I still find the jokes unfunny. Nicole Sullivan was a great asset to the show though. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member One of the funniest, most underrated sitcoms on TV. There's not a bad episode in season 3 and I laughed out loud multiple times each episode. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
