"Seinfeld" co-creator Larry David plays a version of himself on the improvised series. He faces a constant barrage of life's little annoyances, which in David's sometimes well-meaning but terminally fumbling hands don't tend to stay small for very long. Episodes frequently center on his ignorance of or disregard for well-established social conventions and expectations, as well as his insistence that others adhere to rules of which only he seems to be aware. Developed from a 1999 one-hour special on HBO that was envisioned as a one-time project, the series premiered in October 2000.

Tim Goodman San Francisco Chronicle Expect more outrageous behavior this season on "Curb," as Larry thinks he's adopted, gets himself a "racist dog," battles a disabled man over a bathroom stall, alienates the lesbian community...etc., etc., etc. Jun 14, 2018 Full Review Kenny Herzog New York Magazine/Vulture This season finale was not the end of Curb, but its flirtation with Larry's mortality and callback to ghosts of guest-stars past was a tidy complement to the definitive and divisive Seinfeld send-off. Jun 11, 2018 Full Review Maureen Ryan Chicago Tribune In "Curb's" fifth-season premiere, the always-grumpy David is ticked off that his favorite deli named a whitefish sandwich after him...Famous people-they go through so much. Jun 6, 2018 Full Review Jason Zingale Bullz-Eye.com [Larry David is] a paint-by-numbers perfectionist, a social killjoy, and an all-around major pain in the ass, but he's also one of the most entertaining characters ever created. Rated: 4/5 Jun 14, 2018 Full Review Jeff Otto IGN Movies At this point, the cast has hit such a stride together that watching them do almost anything will yield at least a few moments of comic brilliance. Audience Member This season was not as good as the previous seasons. It was just okay. Also I'm so sick and tired of Larry trying hard to make "Pretty pretty good" happen. It ain't happening and it's boring. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Hilarious, every episode has diffrent plot strings always tying together perfectly in the end Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review dave d If this isn't your cup of tea, fine, but you're missing out of some spot on cerebral comedy! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review dustin d After narrowly surviving a near-death experience, you would think one would change their ways. Instead, Larry David doubles down and is difficult as ever in the hilarious fifth season of Curb Your Enthusiasm. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Larry David: Please x 100000 start making more Curb episodes!!...pppllleeaassseeee.......
