"Seinfeld" co-creator Larry David plays a version of himself on the improvised series. He faces a constant barrage of life's little annoyances, which in David's sometimes well-meaning but terminally fumbling hands don't tend to stay small for very long. Episodes frequently center on his ignorance of or disregard for well-established social conventions and expectations, as well as his insistence that others adhere to rules of which only he seems to be aware. Developed from a 1999 one-hour special on HBO that was envisioned as a one-time project, the series premiered in October 2000.

Charles Bramesco Guardian David successfully threads the needle between over-earnest "very special episode" commentary and defensive wrongheadedness by detaching entirely. Dec 12, 2020 Full Review Lauren Hakimi Observer By inventing such irrational female characters, Curb's creators promote a sexist stereotype in order to serve as the butt of Larry's antics... Consider my enthusiasm curbed. Dec 12, 2020 Full Review Esther Zuckerman Thrillist Curb Your Enthusiasm has, quite frankly, been on a roll, a remarkable achievement for a show so late in its run and for one that has taken long hiatuses between seasons. Dec 11, 2020 Full Review Bill Brioux Brioux.tv A strong return to form. Oct 13, 2022 Full Review Stephen Silver Goomba Stomp Even if Curb Your Enthusiasm isn't as much of a fit with today's times, it managed to produce its best season in a decade, showing that David's acerbic style of comedy still has a lot in the tank. Dec 12, 2020 Full Review Steven Hyden Uproxx Larry might react to life's indignities with hostility, but the show itself doesn't feel hostile, especially compared with recent seasons. It feels more like venting with an old friend, again. Dec 12, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews

Lucas H EPISODIO FAV: "Elizabeth, Margaret and Larry" (10x8) Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/01/24 Full Review Ibu P Could have been better, but not much Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/24/23 Full Review Audience Member I think the pandemic finally killed any real appreciation I had for "Curb." While Larry and crew hit lots of great notes in this season, they hit more stinkers. Let's start with the screaming. There is one level of comedic timing this season and IT'S THIS LOUD! Maybe Larry thought everyone is getting older, so all episodes SHOULD BE SCREAMED! But, after living in the city for 20 years, comedy isn't anger for me anymore, that's the homeless guy, who's got every right to be screaming in the middle of the street because he's living outside Starbucks full-time. It's getting really hard to feel anything for a bunch of millionaires screaming at each other like spoiled brats because we can turn on the news (or Twitter) for that. Me Too is something Larry should've stayed far away from and he didn't. Dave Chappelle did a nice little joke on his show (many years ago) about a longer joke Larry did regarding sexual consent, and how awkward the idea of consent makes men feel. I mean...that's the nuts of the joke, that's how Larry is playing it out (Chappelle's take was way less revolting), and it was disturbing that Larry has seen it all go down in close range in Hollywood and that's what he thinks of it. I had to walk away from that scene, because I understood what it was trying to get at, and it wasn't well thought out, wasn't smart, and is only funny to people who don't want to evolve. If you want to see millionaires scream at each other about their baby problems for a 10th season (I really feel like the early seasons were funnier and quieter), have fun with this one. I don't know why I was expecting something different. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member For whatever reason, I came late to this show, but it is so entertaining, I plan on eventually streaming it from the beginning. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member I went with 2 1/2 stars for this season, as a fan of many years of this show. I thought that 2 1/2 stars was a good rating for this show/season. My bf thought that this was not ne of the better seasons of this show, but I thought that it was pretty good. The ending of the last episode of this season was kinda funny, lots of funny one liners but at times felt like it was repeating or going in circles at times. Had some laugh out loud moments in this season 2 1/2 stars. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member There is not a bad series of Curb Your Enthusiasm, but this one is one of the best. Larry David just keeps on coming up with new ways to make you squirm in your chair, but laugh while doing it. Thank you HBO for letting Larry do this the way he wants.
