James Jackson Times (UK) Von Reinhartz takes up the mantle of defecting hero, going rogue to deliver the Enigma machine to the Americans to stop the war, setting up a game of submarine cat and mouse that promises much. C R I really enjoyed this season too. The acting was decent, the characters were painted well and the villans played their parts perfectly. Quite captivating and engaging. Same complaint as the first season though. I did take a star off for such repetitive and consistent focus on smoking which grew tiresome pretty quickly. I get they smoked a lot in that era, but it really isn't needed in every opening scene, zooming in to ashtrays, people lighting cigarettes, standing there smoking. I think some directors think it's creative, or artistic, but it generally just screams "has been directors", or "want to be try hard"' directors. The majority of us don't smoke and feel no need to look at it all the time on shows like this. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/28/24 Full Review Post a review
