Steven Cooper Slant Magazine "The Impossible Astronaut" certainly started the season with a bang, throwing up any number of mysteries and plot threads to draw the audience into further episodes. I can't wait to see where the rest of the season takes us. Mar 5, 2019 Full Review Keith Phipps AV Club This is an exciting way to begin the series, but also a dark one. Rated: A- Feb 19, 2019 Full Review Robert Lloyd Los Angeles Times One year in, Matt Smith is screwed into this role good and tight. Apr 23, 2011 Full Review Patrick Mulkern Radio Times The Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon launches series six like a rocket. It marks a return to proper, scary Doctor Who, leaves many tantalising threads dangling and ends on a dazzling cliffhanger. Rated: 5/5 Mar 25, 2019 Full Review Rick Marshall MTV Steven Moffat and the "Doctor Who" crew offer up yet another great episode with Toby Haynes behind the camera -- though the episode's big cliffhanger will likely cause more than a few fans' heads to explode. Mar 5, 2019 Full Review Morgan Jeffery Digital Spy The fact that a show that's been running on-and-off for almost 50 years can still subvert expectations, and produce something as simultaneously shocking and thrilling as 'The Impossible Astronaut', is something for the Who team to be proud of. Fan O This season has some of the most ups and downs, and is one of the most messy. Despite that, it's character work is just as strong as last season, it lands more of it's ambitious ideas then it doesn't, and River Song is as entertaining as ever. The doctor's journey this season is so quintessentially them that anyone would struggle telling it with the same depth from any other character. A brilliant mess, to sum it up. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/20/25 Full Review James M Good, but not great as there is a few flaws here with the writing and controversial lore around the show, but there is also some great moments in this series and the monster designs look fresh and amazing like series 5. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/13/25 Full Review Aeson L Absolute Favorite! I love it so much, the Season 5-7 is in my DNA ! xd Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/03/24 Full Review Justin B After the magic of season 5, season 6 is an overblown and indulgent mess. Smith remains charming and utterly engaging but with too much going on and not enough clarity, the season threatens to fold under its own weight. Luckily, its highs are among the best Nu-Who has to offer. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/21/24 Full Review Asf A rory can annoy a bit but a great season Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 12/12/23 Full Review Xp A Great series, especially the plot twists. One of the best seasons - definitely worth watching. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/10/23 Full Review Read all reviews
