This episode tried to score cheap points on the show's history by dunking on the character of the First Doctor. "Look at how much better we as people are today. We're so enlightened. Those people back then were such bigots." This by extension insults everyone who actually enjoyed the show back then. This was the worst episode of Doctor Who, rivaled only so far by the Star Beast
