"Doctor Who" is a classic science-fiction series with a cult following. The Doctor is called a "Time Lord," a time-traveling scientist from a far-off planet who travels through time and space in a shop known by the acronym TARDIS. A TARDIS is a machine that is larger on the inside than the outside and is supposed to change its appearance based on its surroundings. The Doctor is also able to evolve his biology, so he appears as many different people throughout the series. The Doctor loves Earth, so he makes many trips here to save the planet, or to enlist earthlings to help him with tasks in the galaxy.

Christopher Bahn AV Club "Horror Of Fang Rock" is a perfect distillation of the Doctor-Who-as-gothic-horror-movie approach that was the hallmark of the early Fourth Doctor years. Mar 5, 2019 Full Review Paul Mount Starburst ... It stands the test of time better than we might have expected. Three of the serials are minor Doctor Who classics, and the others are well-intentioned, noble near-misses. Apr 9, 2024 Full Review Mark Braxton Radio Times With The Invisible Enemy, Graham Williams bit off more than he could chew. The show didn't yet bear his distinctive stamp, and in the very next serial he even reverted to a tried-and-trusted formula... Mar 5, 2019 Full Review Arnold T. Blumberg IGN Movies Baker is virtually entrenched in the role, completely at ease, capable of swinging easily from warm, humorous exchanges to dramatic, authoritative rants, and yet he hasn't yet gone too far over the edge into self-parody. Mar 5, 2019 Full Review Evan Sawdey PopMatters This is a rather dark, rather creepy Who serial, one that's unafraid to be a bit darker than the usual Who-fare and all the better because of it. Mar 5, 2019 Full Review Ross Ruediger Bullz-Eye.com It has such a different feel than most of what was produced back in the day - a feel which both works for and against the story. Rated: 3.5/5 Mar 5, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews

Wolfgang B Signalling the end of the gothic horror era of Who, many lament this, but honestly it was probably the right time even if it was a good run. Starts well, ends passably, fades out in the middle a touch Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/03/23 Full Review Matt V Excellent stuff! Fendal is a real favourite of mine. Tom was MY Doctor growing up, and he's just amazing. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/14/22 Full Review Audience Member Certainly not the greatest Tom Baker season, but 'Image of the Fendhal' makes it pretty worth while, and we're treated to some solid Leela antics.
