Felicity Porter is a shy girl who finds out what life on her own is really following her high-school graduation. Sheltered as a child, Felicity never made any of her own decisions -- that is until she moves to New York to go to college and to follow high-school classmate Ben Covington, whom she had a crush on throughout high school. Felcity may have gone to New York to follow Ben, but once there, she starts to find herself and soon discovers that her move to the Big Apple (against her parents' wishes) holds endless possibilities.

Steve Johnson Chicago Tribune Virtually everything here is perfect: crisp, smart dialogue, scenes that pulse with emotion, and an artful weaving in of notes and letters to give it all that extra, this-is-how-I-really-feel resonance. Apr 5, 2023 Full Review Marvin Kitman Newsday Felicity is the best drama of the year, a quality show of substance and intelligence, something worth watching. Apr 5, 2023 Full Review Jonathan Storm Philadelphia Inquirer Felicity is phony. It presents a fantasy world, pretending it's real. A lot of people criticize Ally McBeal for the same thing, but there's a big difference. The people in their 20s who would take life cues from "ally" should be old enough to know better. Apr 5, 2023 Full Review Matt Roush TV Guide The most absorbing and entertaining youth soap since the fall 1994 premieres of Party of Five and My So-Called Life, it's sure to send fans of the genre into a state approaching bliss. Apr 5, 2023 Full Review Robert Lloyd L.A. Weekly While the cosmic events that sets this universe in motion may skirt credibility, what follows seems reasonable enough, if one remembers that the show is an idealized amplification of a time of life when the smallest things drip with serious soul. Apr 5, 2023 Full Review Robert David Sullivan Boston Phoenix Television-critic protocol says that I should at least pick the best of this genre and pronounce it watchable, so I'll opt for the soft-core porn of Dawson's Creek over the Ingmar-Bergman-meets-McGruff-the-Crime-Dog formula of Felicity. Rinatya N Very humane and sweet, plenty of humour and heartfelt moments which inspire me. Often deals with real life dilemmas, playing out comic scenarios and always interesting. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/04/23 Full Review Audience Member A smart and funny coming-of-age drama, Felicity delivers an impressive first season. Created by J.J. Abrams, the show follows a young freshman college student named Felicity Porter who moves to New York chasing a high-school crush, but ends up discovering herself and making new friends. Starring Keri Russell, Scott Speedman, Scott Foley, and Amy Jo Johnson, the show has a strong cast that delivers some extraordinary performances; especially Russell, who's the heart and soul of the series. And the writers do an excellent job at capturing the college experience, and of being on your own for the first time. However, it can get a little heavy handed and overly dramatic at times. Yet overall, Season 1 of Felicity is remarkably compelling. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
