Matthew Gilbert Boston Globe The whole is somehow less than the sum of its parts. And yet "Five Days" rewards with enough gripping moments to make it worth investigating. May 20, 2020 Full Review Scott Tobias AV Club Am I crazy here? Anyone else banging their heads against the wall in frustration or am I missing some buried profundities? Rated: C May 20, 2020 Full Review Brian Lowry Variety There's something to be said for the leisurely rhythm of "Five Days," but ultimately, it demonstrates that an overabundance of time can prove equally deflating. May 20, 2020 Full Review Brian Gibson Vue Weekly (Edmonton, Alberta) Pulses with an underlying distrust of an overworked, PR-driven police force that's a necessary social burden. . . . also offers a sense of family fractured, people isolated and lost in their pain, that's rarely seen on film or television these days. Sanja B Very strange attitude to a possible dead woman and child. Police finds it funny and family is selfabsorbed and also seems not to care. Such strong cast is actually making it worse Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/25 Full Review crystel m Absolutely awful. The acting is ridiculously bad by so many of the cast. I don’t know if that’s due to script or just plain bad acting or maybe both. Weird relationships, plot holes, random characters and unfinished/ unexplained story lines. Rushed ending with no real explanation after it dragged on for 5 1 hour long episodes. Wouldn’t have missed anything if I had just watched the last 10 minutes of episode 5. And what was with the mother? Why did she do that weird scream at the appeal? And why did she watch herself do it again at home? And subject us to that again? Bizarre. Anyway, not good. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/21/25 Full Review Grayson S The only crime here is the pace of this show. The two detectives do nothing to solve the case and Why does everyone cry in such a strange manner. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/16/25 Full Review Joe C Great cast with McTeer, Malahide & Woodward being stand-outs for me. Managed to balance a lot of characters and threads with just a bit of stagnation with the Matt/Mother-in-Law/Stalker Girl nexus. Glad it wasn't longer, but might've been more effective if conceived as Four Days. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/14/24 Full Review Stahl M Don't bother - plodding, poor character development and a horrible conclusion. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/09/23 Full Review ginger b The cast doesn't disappoint one bit, but despite that and a promising storyline, it just fizzles toward the end...to the point that it doesn't make sense. Just okay. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews
