Jared Franklin and Peter Bash are best buddies, forging their friendship through their work as aggressive street lawyers. They'll chase down their clients, literally, and work just as aggressively to win any case. Their style, notably Jared's brash presentation skills and Peter's penchant for connecting with a judge and jury, also wins over Stanton Infeld, the senior partner at one of the top law firms in Los Angeles, who recruits the pair to inject some life into his buttoned-down firm. That won't be easy, however, if Damien Karp has his say. Karp is Infeld's nephew, a straitlaced lawyer whose own plans for the firm in no way include welcoming unpredictable co-workers.

What to Know

Critics Consensus

Slick, playful, and occasionally witty, Franklin & Bash unfortunately sticks too close to the courtroom drama formula.

Maureen Ryan HuffPost Gosselaar's appealing qualities aren't enough to make up for Franklin & Bash's other shortcomings. Jun 1, 2011 Full Review David Wiegand San Francisco Chronicle F&B will rise or fall almost entirely on the basis of how likable you find Gosselaar and Meyer, not to mention the wisecrack-stuffed dialogue. Perigard Boston Herald TNT bills Franklin & Bash as a dramedy, but it is more accurately a comedic bromance laced with pop-culture jokes and a dash of legal jargon to trick you into thinking you spent an hour on something of substance. Oct 16, 2018 Full Review Tom Gliatto People Magazine If they don't entertain us as much as they seem to entertain themselves, we still catch some of their buzz. Audience Member I watched several episodes of the first season, just to be sure it wasn't starting slow or I had somehow missed something great. It stinks. They copied the Boston Legal formula to an almost criminal level. Seriously the producers of Boston Legal should sue them for copyright infringement. It has almost the exact same character types and stories, but somehow every one is inferior. Like they just ripped off each episode but changed enough so casual observers wouldn't notice. The problem is the final product is garbage. Most jokes are terribly unfunny and the plots are either boring or horribly stupid. Shame because most of the actors are very good, they just arent given decent material here. Take a pass on this. Go watch literally any other law firm dramedy and enjoy yourself more.
