The titular mealtime is anything but normal for brothers Adam and Jonny Goodman, siblings in an eccentric Jewish family who return home each week for free eats. When they're not busy playing pranks on each other, they're breaking bread with their parents: father Martin likes to stroll around shirtless and collect science magazines, while mom Jackie is obsessed with "MasterChef" and tries her best to inject an air of normalcy into the insanity that always ensues. And of course, supper just wouldn't be the same without an appearance from Jim, a creepy neighbor whose frequent visits elevate him to "stalker" status.

John D Didn’t laugh once on first episode. Didn’t bother watching anymore. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/12/24 Full Review Tristan C A basic idea but done well. Definitely an enjoyable watch. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/04/24 Full Review Rain R Absolutely brilliant. I loved this show so much. I wish they would stream it on Netflix, Apple or Amazon. Brilliant acting, very, very funny, superb scripts, Comedy TV at its very best. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/31/23 Full Review kevin e What is up with the 40% rating? This series, and this season is brilliant. My wife and I love it. Everyone in it is so funny, it has minimal casting, minimal quantity of sets, and is less than half an hour each episode with short seasons of six episodes each. It is so low pressure and just a hoot to watch. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Ok the first series of Friday Night Dinner isn't where everything was the right style, everything that is recognisable about the show isn't there in this series which does make sense since it is the first series, however that doesn't all mean I couldn't have some fun with what they had.
